The Public Policy Committee plays a vital role in reviewing and shaping legislation that impacts the aging services sector. The committee is responsible for evaluating all relevant legislation, recommending new legislative initiatives, and coordinating LeadingAge Indiana's actions on key legislative issues. Its proactive approach ensures that the aging services community has a voice in legislative matters. Additionally, the committee collaborates with state regulatory agencies to review rules and their implementation, ensuring that members are kept informed of any changes that may affect their operations. The LeadingAge Indiana Public Policy Committee meets on the 2nd Friday of each month, beginning in January. Meetings from May – December are scheduled at the call of the Committee Chair. Unless otherwise notified, all meetings are virtual and begin at 10:00 a.m..
